I received a message from a friend this morning. He said, "When you combine your photography with something else you love, it's priceless."
Those words are very true.
If you are having a conversation with someone, if the subject is not of interest to you, then you will not have anything of value to say. However, if the subject is something you are passionate about, you will have a lot of insight and you'll bring a lot to the conversation.
Photography is a form of non-verbal communication. Just like the conversation example above, if the subject of your images are not of interest to you, it will show. And if the subject is something you are passionate about, it will also show in your photographs!
So concentrate your photography on what you love. Whatever it is that you feel most strongly about, that's where your lens should be pointed.
