Abandonment: Boss Hog Ranch - Tehachapi, California

There's a funky little place outside of Tehachapi, California that sits abandoned: the old Boss Hog Ranch. Details of exactly what this place was, or even when it first opened or finally closed, are very hard to come by. What is known is that it was a raspberry farm and a petting zoo. At one point, apparently, it was also a meth lab.

Today the Boss Hog Ranch sits abandoned and falling apart. It looks like no one has lived there for at least 10 years, although I have not been able to verify that. It is certainly an interesting location for photography.

These images were captured one day recently using a Samsung NX210 digital camera. These are the last images that I will capture using this camera, as I'm in the process of changing my equipment.

What you see below are my favorite images that I captured of the Boss Hog Ranch. The entire collection can be seen on my Flickr page, so be sure to check all of them out.
