Thought Of The Day: Nikon D610

Nikon announced their newest full-frame DSLR: the D610. It's the same thing as the D600, but ever-so-slightly faster and with a new "quiet release burst" mode. I have heard rumors that some minor "bugs" found in the D600 (that Nikon has never officially acknowledged existed) have been fixed on the D610. But you didn't hear that from me....

This news is ho-hum, really. Not because the D610 won't be an exceptional camera, because most certainly it will be, but because it is 99.9% the same camera as its predecessor.

The biggest news here is that soon the D600 will be available for less money. It is already one of the least expensive full-frame DSLRs available, but once the price is lowered it won't cost much more than a high-end DSLR with an APS-C sized sensor.
