Abandonment: Ranch - Tehachapi, California

Outside of Tehachapi, California, surrounded on three sides by farm fields, sits an abandoned ranch. This place isn't all that old, perhaps built in the 1970's, and it wasn't abandoned all that long ago, probably no more than five years ago.

There are three buildings on the property: a modest two bedroom home, a large barn, and a large stable. This place was all about horses. The stable had some office space built into it.

The house is in pretty good shape overall, and I can't imagine it staying empty forever (although there is nothing to indicate that the place is for sale or rent). The barn and stable are both in need of repair.

I captured the images below using a Sigma DP2 Merrill camera.
