Abandonment: Deserted Desert Abode - Mojave, California

Deserted Desert Abode - Mojave, California
In the harsh desert outside of the town of Mojave, California sits a bunch of abandoned houses in various states of disrepair. Some are smaller and some are larger. Some are older and some are newer. Some had indoor plumbing and some did not.

This deserted desert abode was small and, as best as I could tell, lacked indoor plumbing. It appeared to be quite old, although perhaps not as old as some of the neighboring houses. There were a couple of improvised sheds (made from old vehicles) on the property.

A bunch of 55 gallon drums were found behind the home. A little research reveals that the chemicals were for corrosion prevention, especially for transportation and industrial applications. Perhaps that gives a clue what the last resident of this home did for a living.

The home has been abandoned for some time now. There weren't many other clues left about whoever had lived here. I used a Nikon D3300 DSLR with a Nikkor 40mm AF-S DX f/2.8G Micro lens to capture these photographs.
