My Top 12 Favorite Color Photographs of 2015

"Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop." --Ansel Adams
I went through all of the photographs that I captured in 2015 and made a list of my favorite color photographs. Initially I came up with 26 images. Then came the hard part: narrowing the list to just 12.

As I'm making this list, I'm realizing why it's difficult to cut it from 26 to 12. The best of the best are easy to pick out. If I were making a Top 6 list this would be much easier. It's the bottom half of this list that's tough to choose. There's not much difference between #7 and #26. Perhaps this demonstrates that those photographs are not as good as I think they are.

It's interesting to see that some months and even some days were more prolific than others. It seems as though great photographs come in groups, perhaps as a result of visiting great locations, or maybe because creativity comes in spurts.

I used several different cameras to capture these photographs, including a Nikon D3300 (10), a Sony RX100 II (1) and a Nokia Lumia 1020 (1). They are ordered oldest to most recent.
