Feeling Discouraged

Lonely Diner - Mojave, California
I'm feeling discouraged today regarding my photography. Why?  Rejection. I can handle being ignored, because at least there is hope, but flat out dismissal is a little tougher pill to swallow.

Maybe you've felt this same way before. Maybe nobody notices are cares about your photographs. Maybe you were turned down for a gig because "you're not good enough" even though you know that you are. It's frustrating. It's discouraging.

But I'm not giving up, and neither should you. Why? Determination. You and I must resolve to be better, to try harder. We must prove to these naysayers that they are flat-out wrong, and their judgements are a mistake.

Even though it may seem hopeless and that you should throw in the towel, don't do it! Keep at it. Keep pushing forward. Don't give up, even if nobody cares about your photography. Don't be a slave to other people's opinions.

Eventually, if you stay the course, things will work out. Push yourself harder to be better. Refine your vision. Be as absolutely creative as you possibly can. Success will come.
